The run into September...

With only six rounds to go the Carlo Monte model is crunching out the numbers overnight with an eye to the final eight and the predictions for the season finalists.  The model has locked in six of the top eight and has five teams fighting for the last two spots.  although Adelaide and West Coast have slim chances and the Pies are almost locked in.  The Round 23 clash between the Blues and Port could decide the final spot.

Eighth spot is a bit academic the grand finalist generally comes from the top four in the modelling.  With that comment the model at present is predicting the following at seasons end:

The differences with the Monte Carlo simulation and the above first past the post are highlighted - the only one of import is the positions of Carlton and Port.  More of that tomorrow...
