This game has come up as the closest of the round according to the model and at this stage the best value for the flexi tipping option (on footytips.com.au). This will be double checked just prior to round One next year - but is our long range prediction at present.
The last string of games have not faired well for the model – although the last game was only out by 2 points on the (updated) model. The strong home ground advantage for the Cats sees them come out in front with the current model. The gap between shots for and against is quite clear for the Cats and very similar for the Crows. How much the cats can maintain this difference during 2014 coupled with improving their shot on goal performance which has been erratic over 2013 will determine if they finish in the top four or the middle six.
